Scope and approach

Naver Quinto is an information-only website. It has no user accounts, booking engine, payment checkout, deposit facility, subscription form or public comment area. We aim to minimise personal information and explain the limited situations in which information may be processed.

This policy applies to this website and direct correspondence with the Naver Quinto editorial desk. A hotel, email provider or external website has its own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Information that may be processed

Technical request information

When a browser requests a page, the hosting and security infrastructure may process standard technical data such as an IP address, browser type, operating system, requested URL, date and time, referring page and diagnostic or security events. This information is typically needed to deliver the website, protect it from abuse and investigate errors.

Age acknowledgement

When you confirm that you are 18 or older, the website stores the value “yes” in your browser’s session storage. It does not store your date of birth, name or identity. The value is limited to the browser session.

Email correspondence

If you email us, we receive the address you use and any name, message or attachments you choose to provide. Do not send passport details, payment card information, gambling account details, health records or other information not needed for the editorial request.

How information is used

Technical data may be used to deliver pages, maintain reliability, prevent malicious activity, diagnose faults and understand aggregate service performance. Correspondence is used to answer the message, evaluate corrections, respond to privacy or accessibility requests, and keep a necessary record of the resolution.

We do not use this website to create gambling profiles, assess creditworthiness, process payments or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Cookies, local storage and analytics

Naver Quinto does not set advertising cookies and does not use third-party behavioural advertising or social tracking pixels. The age acknowledgement uses session storage rather than a cookie and is designed to disappear when the browser session ends. Blocking session storage may cause the age notice to reappear.

If our practices change, this policy will be updated before materially different tracking is introduced. Your browser controls can remove site data at any time.

Service providers, disclosure and overseas processing

Technical data may be processed by infrastructure providers that host, secure or deliver the website. Email messages may be processed by the mail services used by you and by us. These providers may operate systems in Australia and other countries and handle information under their own contractual and legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to operate or secure the website, obtain professional advice, comply with law or a binding legal process, or protect rights and safety. We do not share contact details with listed hotels for marketing.

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small informational publication. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Technical logs are retained according to the operational and security settings of the hosting provider. Correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose, a legitimate record or a legal requirement, then deleted or de-identified where practicable.

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern. We may need enough information to verify that the request relates to you. Some requests may be limited where the law permits or requires.

We will assess privacy complaints in good faith and explain the outcome. Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
